Google Ads API and Google User Data

SommeTech Campaign Research is an internal application used by authorized SommeTech personnel and contractors for keyword research, advertising planning, geographic demand analysis, reporting, and campaign preparation.

Information accessed

After an authorized user grants permission through Google OAuth, SommeTech may access information associated with authorized Google Ads accounts. Depending on the functions used, this information may include:

  • Google Ads customer and account identifiers.
  • Campaign, ad group, advertisement, and keyword information.
  • Keyword ideas and historical search metrics.
  • Geographic and language targeting information.
  • Search volume and historical trend information.
  • Advertising competition and bid-range estimates.
  • Campaign performance and reporting metrics.
  • Account configuration information necessary to provide authorized application functions.

SommeTech does not request access to personal Gmail messages, Google Drive documents, Google Contacts, or unrelated Google Account content through this application.

How information is used

Google user data and Google Ads information are used only to:

  • Provide keyword and market research.
  • Evaluate geographic search demand.
  • Prepare and improve advertising campaigns.
  • Produce internal research and performance reports.
  • Organize keyword, campaign, and landing-page recommendations.
  • Provide services requested by SommeTech clients.

SommeTech does not use Google Ads data for unrelated advertising, consumer profiling, or the sale of user information.

Sharing and disclosure

SommeTech does not sell or rent Google user data. Google user data may be accessible only to:

  • Authorized SommeTech employees and contractors who require access to perform approved work.
  • Infrastructure and service providers necessary to securely host, operate, maintain, or support the application.
  • Governmental or legal authorities when disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process.

Service providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide their contracted services and are expected to protect the information they handle.

SommeTech uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect Google user data, including:

OAuth client secrets, developer tokens, refresh tokens, and other private credentials are not intentionally exposed through public website interfaces.

Data retention and deletion

SommeTech retains Google Ads research data and authorized account information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain business records, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and support authorized reporting or analysis.

When information is no longer required for these purposes, SommeTech may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements.

An authorized user or client may request deletion of stored information by contacting SommeTech. SommeTech will evaluate and process valid deletion requests subject to legal, contractual, security, and record-retention obligations.

Revoking access

Users may revoke SommeTech Campaign Research access through their Google Account's third-party access settings. Users may also contact SommeTech to request that an authorized Google Ads connection be removed.

Limited use

SommeTech's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, where applicable.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the business, deliver services, and meet legal obligations.
